Vintage 'JJ' Hare and Tortoise Brooch

Yet another offering from fabulous US brooch makers 'JJ' (under their name of 'Artifacts') ... This time it's a fantastically detailed story brooch of Aesop's famous tale of 'The Hare and the Tortoise'! The brooch is in unused/unworn condition (from stored stock from the 1980s) and is therefore still pristine. It is in a bronze/gold colour, clearly showing both the hare and the tortoise as they race! It's for sale through my shop on Etsy.

The brooch measures approx. 1" length x 2 1/2" width. It has a strong, straight, secure and working (unused) clasp on the back, where the makers mark of 'JJ' can also clearly be seen.

This is such a delightful and whimsical brooch, depicting a timeless moral tale and too good to be missed whether at tortoise or hare speed!
