'It'So I sit here waiting'It' by sevvysgirl
For ‘It’ to happen
I have no idea
What 'It' is
Or how I will recognise
'It' when 'It' comes
Nor do I know how long
I’ve yet to wait
Seeing as I’ve been
Waiting all my
Life so far for
Sonnet 12 - 'Colours'My love is not the garish red of lust,Sonnet 12 - 'Colours' by AntediluvianWhovian
nor gaudy, nervous yellow in its hue;
tis not the cheerless grey of ages’ dust
nor is it quite a yearning, pining blue.
My love is not a calming earthen brown
and it is not so purple that tis rude,
the gentle green of riverside or down
nor orange of a fiery attitude.
My love is all of these and many more,
of rainbows, stars, and shimm’ring fireflies,
the sparks and glitters all who love adore
reflected in the soft blue of thine eyes.
For fill thee every day with colours rich
that otherwise would be as black as pitch.
When I heard this story a few days ago, it totally sickened me, but to now hear that the man (one of the men?) responsible for this abhorrent crime is being charged with 'child destruction' (is that a lesser form of murder?) and GBH is unbelievable.
Once again, it's another case for the 'unborn child' having lesser status than if it were already born, and it totally disgusts me....
This was not a 'domestic' crime remember - this woman was seemingly randomly attacked (although suggestions of her being 'targeted' are now coming to light) - whilst leaving her home in London, by two men in cycle helmets ...
If this had been an attack on a mother and child (which it was of course), where the child was killed, the world would have gone mad and it would have been major headlines.
I rest my case.
Sorry for posting on here but as a member of 'Life' (which is an anti-abortion charity, giving voice to the unborn child) it naturally distresses me.
I'm here for nosiness and inspiration (and, originally, to view Alan Rickman/Severus Snape original art - hence my user name. ) I'm a bit of a 'Jill of all trades, mistress of none' ... I'll have a go at most forms of art and creating, but my real love is writing - in all its forms, most especially poetry/prose. |
